- While I agree that this article is very incomplete and poorly reported, some of the comments about the person who died are in poor taste. The victim is someone's family member or friend and they will mourn the loss. A little compassion please.

- Being human and caring for your fellow man trumps all. Surely they could have put one or two responders in PFDs and tied ropes to them so a rescue could be attempted and still be able to pull them out. Sad story all around.
